Frequently asked questions
On-site DSE
We allocate one hour per person. That gives time for a private 15-minute wellbeing conversation, a full workstation review and to document findings on the spot.
We recommend a small stock of common items — wrist rests, footrests, monitor risers, separate keyboards and mice — so we can resolve issues on the day. We'll help you put a sensible kit list together.
Yes. All assessors are trained DSE professionals with backgrounds in workplace health, ergonomics and facilities. We are fully insured.
Wellbeing conversations are private. Personal health details are never shared with employers — only the workstation findings and recommendations are reported, in line with GDPR.
Yes. We routinely run multi-site UK programmes and will plan the schedule to minimise disruption and travel.
Absolutely. Specific assessments for pregnancy, post-injury, neurodiversity and existing musculoskeletal conditions are part of our standard scope.
Home worker DSE
Yes. Every assessor entering a home is enhanced-DBS checked, fully insured, and trained in safeguarding and lone-working protocols.
It protects both the employee and the assessor. Recording only happens with explicit consent, and footage is stored securely in line with GDPR.
Around an hour, depending on the setup. The wider safety checks (fire, electrical, lone working) are completed within the same visit.
Yes. For new setups or significant changes we can install the full workstation at an additional cost, agreed upfront.
We always discuss this with the employee first. Where in-home isn't appropriate we offer a Teams-led assessment as an alternative.
Yes — we provide DSE workstation assessments for home workers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Travel is charged at cost and minimised through clustering wherever possible.
Additional services
No. While most of our clients start with DSE, you can engage us purely for fire risk assessments, workplace redesign or H&S procedure work.
Yes. Our assessors hold the relevant fire risk assessment qualifications, and we are fully insured for the work we deliver.
Often, yes. We're happy to play a defined role alongside an existing provider — common for workplace design or specialist DSE programmes.
On a project basis, after a short discovery. We'll always agree a fixed scope and fee before we start.
